Typefaces

What is typeface? And no it is not the different types of faces that are out there on the Human World. Typeface is a set of one or more fonts designed with stylistic unity, each comprising a coordinated set of glyphs, according to Wikipeda. When did typeface start? Some say it was with the invention of the Gutenberg Press:

Made in 1450 it is said to be one of the top 10 most significant achievement for mankind. The first book that was ever printed was the Gutenberg Bible, with two copies being made.

But where did fonts or typefaces come from? Have you ever heard of Calligraphy, this is the art of giving form to signs and expressive, harmonious, and skillful manner. Back in the days when there where no printing press, all items of manuscript (thing that where written down) where do in Calligraphy. By doing so the Author or writer would give more meaning to words and thus give more entertainment to the reader. Even today there are thous who still practice this art and there are those who still pay for such a service:
