I recently just returned from a long awaited Vacation to Las Vegas, if you listen to my wife's side of the story. Anyway before I even made ticket reservation's I did a little homework at the Vegas homepage, and other sites on the Internet. I was amazed at all of the media advertisement that there was on Vegas, so it was not hard for me to choice the right Trip Package for Us and our Budget.
From the time we landed at the Airport, to the time we departed there was nothing but Advertising about what Las Vegas had to offer. When we left the Car Rental Center and where on the Freeway going to our Hotel of Choice Golden Nugget for this trip, we where bombarded with every imaginable roadway sign you could think of for the Casino's. Once you got into the city it was even more intense. Las Vegas goes even as far to name the streets that the Casino's are on after that Casino, so even the city gets in on advertising for the Casino.
Once we where at the Hotel/Casino you would think that the PR Media would let up, but then you would be mistaken. Every where you turn there is a Poster's/Sign's up on every wall showing something about the Casino and what it has to offer. So you get to your room and what do you see laying on a Table, a magazine about Las Vegas (mainly the Casinos). So you switch on the TV and what do you run across a Channel devoted to nothing but the Casinos.
So one thing I did come to realize while in Vegas, is that they know the power of Advertising and know how to use it very will. You will see all forms of Advertising before and while in Vegas, I don't think they missed one that I could think off. So if you want to study the concept and practical application of Advertising, I would advise a trip to Las Vegas. Plus you will be able to have some fun and see some big bright lights.
