Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI)

Computer-Generated Imagery or CGI is almost a daily event now, there are all kinds of advertising out there today using this type of media. Some of the work been doing is almost life like and to the point where you do not know where the computer stepped in, for example http://www.truveo.com/ETrade-Baby-Speaks-2/id/3766738800 you will love this video, can you catch the Computer Generated Effects?
Now I know we all know this character:

So where else is CGI it is all around us, you get Insurance commercials with it. You get movies, made with nothing but CGI. You can even get it in video games, this is where the young generation is seeing it the most. There are even movies that are based on the games that are kids play on line or at home on the TV.
Here are just some of the latest CGI that have come out, do you know them?

The first CGI I can remember was from the movie Toy Story. The cool thing about this movie is that it was not just for kids. The adults that were watching this movie could identify with the toy that they played with when they were kids. Even know you could tell that the characters in the movie were not real it was still cool. Now for todays CGI movies and video games it is really hard to tell what is real and what is not. I think this has really changed the way we watch, some good and some bad. For those that understand what is real it is good, for those like kids playing the games, that could be bad. I think that they loose some sense of reality.
